About My experiance to Bandarawela

In the first vacation that we got after finishing the second semester.So during that period we organized to go on Bandarawela.It is also very Beautiful and attractive place in Sri lanaka.So in there also ,there are so many things to visit and enjoy.Following are some of the images that we click on their with my freinds..And also we can see waterfalls,Tea cultivation and mountains.This all brings a great beauty to the nature ..

Southern Province

Galle

 Galle is a major city in Sri Lanka, situated on the southwestern tip, 119 km from Colombo. Galle is the administrative capital of Southern Province, Sri Lanka and is the district capital of Galle District. This is mainly  based on the beach area and it added extra beauty to the city..

Galle Fort is one of the main attracting place of visitors.From following picture it shows the Galle Fort.

                      

Matara   

Matara is a major city in Sri Lanka, on the southern coast of Southern Province, 160 km from Colombo. It is a major commercial hub, and it is the administrative capital of Matara District.

North Central Province

      Anuradhapura

                This is a greatest city in Sri lanka and also it is known as the sacred city .It was the third capital of the Kingdom of Rajarata, following the kingdoms of Tambapanni and Upathissa Nuwara.

                       From the pictures you can see it is more famous for the sacred places .That is why it is known as Sacred city in Srilnaka
       

 

   


   Polonnaruwa

Poḷonnaruwa is the main town of Polonnaruwa District in North Central Province, Sri Lanka. Kaduruwela area is the Polonnaruwa New Town and the other part of Polonnaruwa remains as the royal ancient city of the Kingdom of Polonnaruwa

Sigiriya

 Sigiriya is one of the world heritage in Srilanka. So it is a rock and it has a great history.So from following pictures you can see it.Most important thing is that it has the art works on this rock.

               Puttalam is a large town in Puttalam District, North Western Province, Sri Lanka. Puttalam is the administrative capital of the Puttalam District and governed by an Urban Council.In here also there are some places to visit.

              Munneswaram temple is an important regional Hindu temple complex in Sri Lanka. It has been in existence at least since 1000 CE, although myths surrounding the temple associate it with the popular Indian epic Ramayana, and its legendary hero-king Rama. The temple is one of the ancient Pancha Ishwarams dedicated to Shiva in the region..

Puttlam Lagoon

The Puttalam Lagoon is a large 327 km² lagoon in the Puttalam District, western Sri Lanka. The lagoon is fed by two rivers, namely the Kala Oya and Mi Oya, discharging at 2.2 m³/s and 8.1 m³/s respectively

North Western Province

• Kurunegala
• Kurunegala is a major city in Sri Lanka. It is the capital city of the North Western Province and the Kurunegala District. Kurunegala was an ancient royal capital for 50 years, from the end of the 13th century to the start of the 14th century. 

                Following are some of the ancient places to visit in Kurunegala.

• Ethugala       

                                  This is known as the Elephant Rock.Because it is look like as an elephant.And the top of the rock there is a huge Buddhist statue which is give more beauty and it can see from the city.
                           

 

• Yapahuwa Kingdom     

                                Yapahuwa was one of the ephemeral capitals of medieval Sri Lanka. The citadel of Yapahuwa lying midway between Kurunegala and Anuradhapura was built around a huge granite rock rising abruptly almost a hundred meters above the surrounding lowlands.
In 1272, King Bhuvenakabahu transferred the capital from polonnaruwa to Yapahuwa in the face of Dravidian invasions from South India, bringing the sacred tooth releic with him. Following the death of King Bhuvenakabahu in 1284, the Pandyans of South India invaded Sri Lanka once again, and succeeded in capturing Sacred Tooth Relic. Following its capture, Yapahuwa was largely abandoned and inhabited by Buddhist monks and religious ascetics.

•  Dambadeniya Kingdom

                                     The Kingdom of Dambadeniya was a medieval kingdom in what is present day Sri Lanka. The kingdom's rulers reigned from 1220–1345.Following are some of the images in Dambadeniya Kingdom.

                                            

Nuwara-Eliya

           This is the most beautiful and attractive city of Srilanka. Nuwara Eliya is a city in the hill country of             the Central Province, Sri Lanka. Its name means "city on the plain" or "city of light".And there are lot of                beautiful water falls which provide more attraction towards the city.
